Folks, the County of LA has extended the deadline for the Sediment Management Strategic Plan to August 28. Hopefully that gives everyone a chance to review the document, engage in informed discussion, and provide more in-depth feedback.
Tim Brick at the Arroyo Seco Foundation has posted his comments at the Arroyo Seco Foundation website. Thanks to Emily Green for the link to Tim’s remarks.

We understand that the draft Strategic Plan is a lengthy document with many technical components. If during your review you have any questions or would like to discuss anything, please do not hesitate to contact us at this email. Additional information is available atwww.LASedimentManagement.com.
As a reminder, no decisions have been made about which alternatives will be employed to manage the sediment at facilities included in the Strategic Plan. As specific reservoir cleanout projects are planned during the next 20 years, alternatives included in the Strategic Plan will be reviewed and, if appropriate, analyzed further to determine which alternative(s) will be employed.
During this extended comment period we will also be reaching out to organizations and people we may have missed during the notification about the initial comment period for the draft Strategic Plan. If you have any suggestions for such contacts please let us know at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
